This is a stacked image of a ant eye, 286 frames stacked with ZS.

Nikon Labophot, Nikon 20/0.40 DL correction collar set to 0, Nikon CF PL2.5X, Canon 450D and FO illumination with ping pong ball diffuser.

Rogelio,

Since first viewing this image, one aspect has intrigued me, i.e. the glowing centre of the eye. Is that due to reflection from the objective glass, substage lighting or from some other mysterious source?

Craig,

I only used a single FO illuminator and ping pong ball diffuser, the only thing that I noted is that the eye is losing the black color.
