Cosmarium

Cosmarium is a single-celled freshwater green algae, a desmid. I believe here we see the result of simple cell division (asexual reproduction) where the two cells are still linked.

Very beautiful pictures Charles. One of my favorite groups of algae. Super nice textures in the shot :wink:
