Schneider 40mm fixed f2.8 Apo HM Componon

Post by ChrisR »

This is the same one NikonUser (et al) reported on a while ago.
Both here http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... php?t=6871

I've just found one and it needs more experimentation, but perhaps it looks reasonable. It does need a good lens hood. I am intrigued that it has a fixed full aperture, does anyone know what it was intended for? (39mm mount)

Some sort of feather, not as pretty as NU's!
D700 FX, Single flash, Polystyrene cup diffuser, exposed as tiffs, some USM at 1 pixel, and Levels adjustment. Black paper cone lens hood. Reversed on a botched microscope frame. ZS, Stack steps a few microns - finer than necessary.

Field width about 8mm (?) if so approximately 4.5x on sensor.
Full frame, 4200 reduced to 1000

That didn't seem to show how fuzzy it is so as a trial, doubling the linear dimension (bicubic interpolation) in PS:

If this is 30cm wide on your screen, full frame width would be 2.4 meters.
