A very handsome insect.

The longhorn bettles in my garden have the shape but lack the colour, being rather beige.

Haven't seen one of these in a while, at least not in my area of North Carolina anyway. Insects are pretty scarce around here, well except for the very small and mosquitos. Great shots there Nikola

WOW what a beautiful beetle. The pictures are over all very colorful. Even the lichen on the branch and the great green background lends a lot to the overall picture.

That's Aromia moschata, a rather common species in C-Europe. The larvae breed in various Salix species.

Well, these are (by a fair margin) the best images of that species I have ever seen - especially the lighting is superb.
