Wildflowers from my yard

Here are some wildflowers that abound in the wilder areas of my yard.

Queen Anne's Lace

Yarrow, Milfoil. Notice the dead mosquito in the upper right corner of the bloom. I didn't see it umtil I was preparing the image for posting.

Lighting was from a ringlight held sharply to one side of the flowers to bring out the petals' texture.

Lighting did what you asked for

I often "find" things I never knew were there. Best was a sea-dragon in a clump of weed I was photographing near Borneo.

Thanks for the feedback. Was the sea dragon under water when you photographed it?

I just barely got started in underwater photography in the 1950's. The second-hand camera jammed during the first roll of film. It was too expensive to repair so I sold the home-made enclosure to a friend who had a matching camera.

I used to dive a lot and photograph when I could. A few years ago now
