'Red' Garden Spider

I wa about to leave the shed last night and this caught my eye hanging near the window.
Its a garden spider(Araneus diadematus) and shes a beauty,possibly gravid too!

I had to climb on top of the freezer and push my loupe into her web then hold the camera roughly over where the image formed! She hardly moved!

Did you ask her to join your spider zoo :wink: :lol: I don`t know if I would have gotten that close :shock:

No i decided to leave her as she was, she looks like she may be full of eggs tho and Dad must have been working nights :wink:
