This is a detail on a Jam Tart my 4 year old daughter made-she's crazy about butterflies!

Fun images! Those pasta swirls are a kick. I saw a cable TV program on the Food Network the other night, about how they make various shapes of pasta. Fantastic extrusion machines! :D

BTW, I noticed that these images took unusually long to display on my DSL line. Turns out they're quite a bit oversized in terms of file length: 500 KB for the first one, 300 KB for the second. Posting guidelines are 200 KB or less per image.

If you're hosting on photomacrography.net, the 200 KB limit is enforced. These images are on photobucket, where nothing would have you alerted you to the issue. It's no big deal, just crank up the compression a notch or two next time.

Sorry Rik,I'll bear that in mind next time! Actually I do have smaller files, still the same pixel depth but smaller in memory-I can replace them easily enough.(I normally just upload everything to photobucket and it resizes then to 800x600 but i forget to check the actual file sizes)

Well, I have no flashgun yet that will work with the 10D so have to improvise, and my old phone, a sony Ericsson W800i has a built in flash that is also a continuous light source, like a modelling light i suppose.
