lol:! Twas the nearest thing to hand. Found this ebay link because I've used up my three photos for the day.

They are a natural deodorant - either like the one in the photo or made up like deodorants you buy. I think it's potassium alum and apparently when I discovered it and told my mum about it, she said my grandfather used it on his feet.!!

I put it where the hole in the cd is.. and it somehow bounced the light back.

Ah, cool! So I guess we're looking at two spectra formed from bright reflections off the crystal. It's very pretty! :D
