Autumn Leaf macro

Post by Cyclops »

This was not an easy shot to get as I had nothing to hold the leaf with(Purple leaved Norway Maple),plus I had to keep an eye on my 2 year old son!
So I held the leaf in one hand, the camera in the other.(couldnt do that with the Canon!)
Took a few attempts and it lacks DOF but I like it.
Panasonic FZ7,macro mode,1/125 f2.8

A technique of last resort! About six months ago I was doing that with a week-old kitten (aka cute baby) in one hand and my OM4 in the other. one or two shots were successful.

I may have to discontinue the method. The kitten has increased her weight by more than 2kg and deems it playful to suspend it by teeth and claws sunk into my wrists.

We had a big ginger cat, size of a dog with the talons of an eagle. He'd sit on your lap and give you a massage while you cringe!
