Lost -Sympetrum striolatum

I think this is a common darter which according to Dragonfly Ireland likes shallow ponds, lakes and garden ponds - none of which are in my area - unless you count the relentless rain.!

I had to change my clothes twice - from kneeling on the ground- wet and boggy... it was windy, raining (only very lightly but I was wiping drops from the camera) and the sun was coming in and out! Shot with available light. (Might post flash pics tomorrow).

Looks like a cartoon bride!

It's very pretty!! and the background also looks great, specially the first one with a hint of purple.

I like the first one too, though the second one is kind of nice. The dragon fly looks a little lost and perplexed, I suppose though, while the last one appears to be happy-go-lucky.
