I have no idea what he/she is, but the patterns on this thing were quite interesting.

40D, 100 mm macro, ISO = 200, 1/250, f/8, cropped

Looks like a young stink bug of some kind.

Nice shots

but you sort of "shot the buffalo" on the last one, 950 X 600

No problem though, just resize the image to no more than 800 pixels on the largest side. Thanks

Ron,
I particularly like the aspect ratio, crop and overall composition of the second image.

What is it he/she is walking on? Looks like a twig wrapped in carpet.
