Dinner - yellow dung fly

Post by Aynia »

I had to push the iso right up to 1600. Quite windy (arghhh), f11, 1/80 sec inbetween gusts. (Olympus e510, 35mm macro)

Nice shot! I love the orangey forehead on these flies (been doing some stacks on one recently).

I'd always assumed they ate dung, not other flies!!

Perhaps the other fly ate dung? Sort of a second stage dung fly.

I always maintain I am a second stage vegetarian, as I eat cows that ate grass!

Very nice photo Aynia. You did a great job with the wind. Perfect focus on the action

Well I will chime in with the rest Aynia, really a super job. The color and sharpness are great despite the conditions under which the photograph was taken. :smt023
