All shot with a Sony A6000 + Laowa 90mm 2.8
A 100% crop reveals my silhouette reflected in the lacewings eye. Neat. But the lack of IBIS/OS and ES necessitated a faster shutter speed which in turn required a high ISO setting of ISO1000 - which is pretty high on that older sensor.
Same story. The details are very nice but the additional noise is something I could live without.
Seeing my hat being reflected yet again does give me a chuckle though
A pair of reproducing mint leaf beetles (Chrysolina herbacea) - I actually used the rather horrible built-in pop-up flash of the A6000 for that photo which got bounced by the leaf they were hiding under, acting as a nice reflector and spreading the light a bit.
This red wood ant (formica rufa) seems to guard one of their pathways, the actual nest is much further away.
Overall it's clear that I could benefit from some additional stabilisation and the use of ES alongside a better S/N ratio sensor.

Thank you! I'm quite happy with the results though there's a lot of room for improvement!
