Holy cow, that's exquisite! Looks like a stone knife.

Et tu, kidney?

Gosh, it looks deliberately made to cause maximum pain! That must have been terrible.

This image is lovely, but the subject keeps reminding me of some Pacific islander's weapon made of shark teeth.

It sure looks like a nice crystal specimen at this kind of mag... ouch.
Nice photo, and I wish a swift recovery!

My sincere sympathies, but what souvenir. Maybe a jeweler could do a nice piece with it. I saw an indie movie recently in which a woman gave her lover two of her gallstones which had been made into cuff links. What a planet. Somebody should sell tickets.
I have a book called Hidden Beauty, a compendium of beautiful medical photographs and the image of a collection of gallstones is amazing.

Yes. In stereo version - each side stack first, stitch corresponding sides, last - stereo with StereoPhotoMaker.

Stereo version:

Link to the bigger stereo seems to be broken, Flickr gives a "404 // This is not the page you’re looking for".

The new link works great.

I maximized the image, saved it to .jpg file, and pulled it into StereoPhoto Maker so I could zoom in.

That gives a simply wonderful view of both the translucency and sharpness of those crystals front and center.

If this were my image, I would not be able to resist posting out a stereo crop.
