#2 is a monarch pupa just out of it's egg. It is sitting on milkweed.

All shot with a Nikon D750 and a Tamron 180mm Macro plus extension tubes. The extreme closeup of the monarch pupa and needle is a 18 pix stack shot with a Zonguyi Sper Macro lens + extension tube.
