Crab spider

Post by obturate »

It has been about a decade since I went on a photography hiatus. I'm getting back into it, hopefully when the new camera arrives I will be firmly hooked again.
Just bought an Olympus OM 38mm f2.8 macro and decided to give it a go. I was planning on stacking this image but the spider was too fidgety. I'm impressed with image quality of the lens.
Shot at nominal f5.6., about 3x, 1sec, Canon 6d

I particularly like your first shot; attractive colors, and rather painterly. Your new lens appears to have very good capability, too.

Thanks. I started by using flash but I preferred the look of the light from my fluorescent desk lamp.
