Polyphemus Moth Adventures

Post by Pizzazz »

Hi Gang!!

I have been raising a brood of Polyphemus Moths to show my Grandson
and I have been able to get some photos. When you see the caterpillars
grow and change into a moth, it always is an amazing sight!

I love doing this kind of thing! Have fun with it. This is a species that I have not raised, though i have reared a number of other species. Good luck!

Mark

I am having a blast. I have a time lapse of one emerging from its cocoon
and have several netted areas on my live oak where there are caterpillars in
one and fresh eggs in the other.

I will not mate this next batch, as I do not want to in-breed.

Mike
