image stacking

Post by bs0604 »

As recommended elsewhere in this forum, I am "starting early" and "ending late" to be sure I get the most forward and rear aspects of my subject captured in my shoot. When importing the images into Helicon Focus, is it important in terms of the final rendered image quality to first cull out the extreme ends of my series to exclude obviously out of focus images?

Excessive frames will result of some extra halos and more focused background. Rather minute effect on final output.
