Found some Kohler Illumination on eBay. Looks interesting.
Read somewhere that it produces less glare.
How is it for high magnification of pollen in dark field?
Is it worth spending money over standard illumination? I guess so...

I have no experience with this device. It's clearly intended to substitute the frosted dual lens collimator present in many Olympus CH clones sold under Amscope, Omax and many other generic brands. What's your microscope?
I doubt that it will provide true Kölher but very likely will improve illumination.
Please keep us informed of your results, having worked with that kind of microscopes at a high school lab for many years I'm curious.
