I'd like to convert my current setup from vertical to horizontal for a couple of reasons, mainly for ease of manipulating the specimen.
What are the easiest/cheapest/best ways of supporting the lens?
I have a WeMacro vertical stand and will purchase the kit to change it to horizontal.
My setup:
Canon 6D
Nikon 200mm tube lens
20x mitutoyo
Stackshot
Thanks,
Sally

MJKZZ and WeMacro have differing solutions to that question. Looks like WeMacro may better suit your needs:

Or just buy the parts you need off eBay/Amazon, help here: https://www.closeuphotography.com/42mm-setup

Re: Best lens support system for horizontal setup
Ironically, I created a rig convertible between horizontal and vertical orientation for exactly the opposite reason!SallyFungi wrote:I'd like to convert my current setup from vertical to horizontal for a couple of reasons, mainly for ease of manipulating the specimen.
I agree with other comments regarding Wemacro's fixture(s). I don't generally use optical setups in an horizontal orientation that require support, but their stuff looks well designed.
