Thanks for the link, Lothar, but hmm, seems too good to be truth, doesn't it? Have you bought from that site? Is it legit?

I suspected something like that Well, no biggie... Just was curious to try the Sigma.lothman wrote:I ordered two, but did not get a reply nor was my credit card billed. Seems to be a dead link
Yes, I tried the +5 (200mm FL). Not worth using as tube lens. Performance (and coverage) was significantly worse than Raynox 150, Apo-Gerogon 210, G-Claron 210 and other lenses I used.Yawns wrote:By the Way.. did anybody try the Marumi close-up filters?
The filters are achromatic and the 5D (200mm) of small dimater size, 49 & 52, mm diameter cost around 50euros, new.
Haven't made direct comparison, but the A-G and G-C works great as tube lenses, in 210, 150 and 240mm FL. They performs virtually equal. Although not marked as "Apo", G-Claron lenses are just as well corrected as the Apo-Gerogons.Lou Jost wrote:Good to know that Macrero, thanks! What did you think of the Apo-Geragon and G-Claron relative to the Raynox?
Wish I was that smart.Macrero wrote: Yep, if I had a huge batch of a particular lens or macro-related item for sale, I'd pay someone to make a hype thread about it on this forum, that seems to be a guarantee for success see the Minolta DSE 5400...
