I contacted Nathan who was happy to share the model but nothing came of it. I have access to a 3D printer and can use Fusion 360 so am happy to try out some designs if anyone has any suggestions as to how long the hood can extend from the end of the objective and what the max opening should be.

4. Mitutoyo objective hood

Designed/printed but never tried it. Soft material is required between the hood and objective casing in order to protect objective's surface.

9. American Optical to Nikon condenser adapter

AO condenser leftover's (from FO light tests - Scienscope fiber optic light) adaptation to the Nikon Optiphot/Labophot. Very comfortable to work with the Rheinberg/Oblique/X-pol illumination. Possible to fit 40mm LED ring lights and other types of the round shaped LEDs (not the best effect, but sometimes works interesting combining, with the main light)
