"UGLY"??!! Hmmpphh! I'll have you know that I am very fond of these creatures!

It's a face only a mother could love, perhaps, but I have raised many of these. :D

Oops!!...Okay..... This BEAUTIFUL creature (snicker!!)  It is definitely a face only a mother could love. Where is Lord V when I need him to identify something, he is so good at this...then I just agree with his findings....that way I am never wrong. Oh, I know what it is, but I am not going to say so that I can give someone else a chance to reply....(believe this and you'll believe anything)

I see a pair of lenses on each side, must be some sort of new wide angle camera; minituarized and disguised for covert operations.

I am totally befuddled, Rik. Knowing that you raised these comely creatures I will express my awe at such a beauteous (?) display. I'm glad you mentioned it was a mask. I might have guessed the other end.

Have a Happy New Year.

AAhh...Is this the front end or the back end of something? A fly that went into the blue light bug zapper?

Well, I see bits and pieces of the correct answer in these various postings.

Can anybody put them together? 8)

PS. Tony, have you seen this beast: http://www.immersivemedia.com/products/ ... ?pageID=72 ? It's the camera system used to capture spherical video for Google's Streetview displays. Covert and miniaturized it's not, but maybe a step in the right direction? :)

So, you are saying that it's not a spy camera with all those radio antenna sticking up for data transmission :(

I'm not sure how to answer the question, Tony.

It is miniaturized, it is disguised for covert operations, and it is a wide angle camera system of sorts. But radio, umm, not that I know of.
