Antlions have always been interesting to photograph.

During the last monsoon session, I got a chance to photograph it with its proper iridescent colors on the wings. The cells in the wings are responsible to reflect light and give these colors when they hit it at a specific angle.

Photo is taken with a canon 80D 100mm and venus kx=800.

I like this. The composition, the perspective, all give it a sense of great height and size.

in reality the antlion is small.



Can you see sort of a curved wing on the tip of that stick? that is the antlion.
