Hello Jacek,

Great set of images, but would like a bit more info as to subject, illumination (e.g. is the second 'autofluorescence with UV' under what lighting, Xe or Hg? What filter cube? How about mags?

Very interesting pol shots - I am a bit surprised you get those colors without staining (other than optical.)


I just want to try some of these myself.

I use only LEDs for fluorescence.
My microscopes, the other side of the post:

I have modified a bit at the moment but the base is the same.
For polarity I rarely use a corrugated iron or other factory compensators.
They are perfect for various thicknesses of plastics or foils, for example a box of CDs, DVDs. The effects can be very surprising.
