Hi Michael,

Good job on lighting its nice and soft, but directional enough to show nice details.

Is that a mite attached to the face?

Thanks. My lighting setup uses a dome in front of a ring flash so I get wrap around lighting. I thought that might be a mite above the mandibles as well, but i'll have to detach the head and put it under a scope to find out for sure.

Mite?

Detached the head and put it under the microscope with a 10x objective. For me, it looks too irregular to be a mite, but that pointy bit on the left side may be intriguing.
