More butterflies? Those are beautiful. I guess I missed all the others!

Love the first one, never seen one quite like that..

Thanks for the nice comment Arlon. Yes, I posted some mating butterfly a while ago, but I could not pass up the chance to post these as I thought they turned out well. The black and red one is very striking and beautiful. :)

Wow :!: Those are beautiful, especially...well all of them. A few tiny compression artifacts here and there but hardly noticable unless your picky like me and go looking for them but hey I can live with them if you can. You did really good on these Joan. :smt023 :smt023

Truly stunning photos Joan. Are these species native to South Africa or were you visiting a butterfly farm?

Thanks for the lovely comment Bruce. These are Asian butterflies taken at the small butterfly house nearby.

The red and black one is: Parides polyeuctes Common Windmill

The 2nd: either Graphium agamemnon agamemnon Tailed jay or Graphium chironides (they look very similar and I am not such a boffin on them to be able to tell the differences.

3rd: I cannot find the name on the site I am using for info

I particularly like the first two--Very exotic-looking insects!

Very beautiful Joan. I love the shape of the chrysalis shells in the first picture. Were these taken at a butterfly garden? I`ll never get tired of butterflies

Thanks for the kind words Doug. Butterflies have to be the most beautiful of all the creatures created. I never tire of them too. Yes they were taken at the Butterfly House.

Jim:

Somehow I seem to have missed your reply. I am so sorry about that. Thank you for your kind words. I like the lighting on it too. It turned out very well.
