My Life Has Come to This

Some people use their spare time to worry about World Peace ...

Others participate at huge gatherings and rallies to voice their protests about civil injustice ...

Me? I walk around taking pictures of bugs in my spare time :D

D500 and 28mm AI-S, reversed, for 2.1x (3x equiv. on FF sensor)
(Exif is wrong. Had set to Voigtlander 125mm and forgot to set values to 28mm. Aperture was f/8. I like the bokeh rendering at this aperture better than using f/16.)

Nicely done with such shallow DoF. Interesting features pin sharp and, as you say, lovely bokeh. Great stuff.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I'd rather spend ten hours doing macrophotography than watch ten seconds of sports.

And the only thing I have the slightest interest in "protesting" is the near disappearance of good photography stores in NE Ohio.

Great color by the way.

Thanks for the feedback, Beatsy and Deanimator :)

Sometimes a single image is all that's possible on a live subject ... and sometimes it's all that's preferable. It's enough.

I'm with you on your preferences, D. Would rather be outside living my own life than sitting down watching others live theirs (or pretend to live theirs) on TV.

John, I think you'll find you are not alone in spending your spare time looking for little things :D There are other mad people out there too..... I may be one of them.

Lovely photo, too. Tack sharp. I may be a bit jealous.....
