Figuring magnification.

Forgive this 78 year old memory, if I divide the full printed size by actual does this give me an approx. magnification?

Yes, that gives the magnification of the print.

Note that the print magnification will be much different from the magnification on sensor, and if you're shooting through a microscope, it may be much different from the magnification settings of the scope.
