It's what I call this style of "free in the air hanging" insects. For other macro photographers, it should be obvious by the given data that this is studio work with pinned specimens.ChrisR wrote:I like the images but, just a minute, "In Flight" ??
It's also a better and more catchy title than "Dead and preserved specimen with a needle through its body looks like it's alive and flying around thanks to photoshop"
I have a couple more really interesting ones in the freezer.

No data was given here at photomacrography.net.mygale wrote:For other macro photographers, it should be obvious by the given data that this is studio work with pinned specimens.
And at flickr, I notice that at https://www.flickr.com/photos/mygale/35439090361/, two of the replies say "Seen in: Amazing Wildlife Photography". That group specifically says not to post dead animals.
Perhaps the reality is not as obvious as you hope.
Personally, I think the title plus the absence of explicit description steps across the line of being misleading. It would not hurt to add some tag like "mounted specimen". Or if it would hurt, then perhaps you should pause to figure out why.
