Shot this the night before last.

He was hanging around a garage door, like the spiders. I'm surprised something hadn't eaten him.

Does look kind of "roachy." Got a wing case like that of a ground beetle, though I don't know if either fly or fly a great distance if they fly at all. :-k

It was dark (too dark to photograph without a modeling light), but I think something similar flew away while I was looking for subjects. It was too dark to see how far it went.

Coleoptera, Elateridae. Also known as "click beetles".
Albeit, there is a small chance of Eucnemidae, a.k.a. false click beetles.
