Retarder filters are widely used with polarized light microscopy and the retarder plates are supplied by the microscope manufacturer. Nikon Microscopy gives a good explanation with examples. Although the discussion is for photomicrography, the same principles apply for macro photography.NicoVB wrote:Wow great colors!
