I found it on the lawn and have no idea about ID. (I mean flower, not finger. )
My finger is about 20 mm wide, in profile even thinner. Here is semi-profile. By "signature" I ment fingerprint.

Well now that you have showed us all the "finger," I find that these tiny little flowers are really a pain to try and identify. I have searched the web looking for galleries of such but there seems not to be any or maybe I am looking in the wrong places. I am sure these tiny wonders have some importance in the scheme of things.

hey that thing is tiny! great shot. they are a pain to get an i.d though.
i did get an id for most of the one i have now, look for a group of experts in your local area. i searched everywhere and the best bet was just to ask someone who knows what they are doing to at least give you a family name to search under which makes it a lot easier. also a lot of pictures of every part of the plant helps. leafs, plant structure, color, texture, size. the more the easier it is to find or get an i.d.
