I know summer has only just started but I am thinking ahead to winter and the fact I will need to entertain myself indoors no double entendres please.
I have played with larger subjects and stacking a few images.
I am seeing some fantastic images here with 10s and 100s of stacks, are there any good line with advice on how to go it, about especially interested in how to process the images after capture but interested in the whole process, tips and tricks etc.
Stacking links please

You're probably aware Rik Littlefield wrote Zerene Stacker. (other stacking software is available, some of it free)
His Tutorials etc are all Here: http://zerenesystems.com/cms/stacker

Thank you for the link I have seen Zerene but not noticed the tutorials very useful.
Would anyone recommend any software that automates the camera focussing and creates stacks or is it better to do manually (I have EOS Utility can do it with that) or it is better moving the subject/camera on a rail ?

My extreme-macro.co.uk site, a learning site. Your comments and input there would be gratefully appreciated.
