Thanks.

I am not sure that I asked one of my questions properly. Let me try again. Thank you for your patience with me.

I think you have answered this but may be I do not understand the information you have given.

If I am using a 4x infinity objective where would you place the Raynox in your system please?

Regards

John

If it's a raynox 250 (125 mm of focal => 125 mm between retro lens tube and the sensor. In my system it's inside of 58 mm tube with 3 cm of 42 mm tube.

If it's a raynox 150 (205 mm) i use a tube 58 mm for a more long tube (4 cm) without 42 mm tube. And i adjust with manfrotto for 1 cm more.

125 mm + 3 + 4 + 1 = 205 mm.....

Normally 16 cm between end of tube 58 mm without additonnal tube 58 mm and sensor. 10 cm for tube 58 mm + 1 cm for air + 5 cm mecanical adaptation nex-M42 + depht of camera.

16 cm - 3 cm = 130 mm (125 mm fo drc 250)

16 cm + 4 cm + 1 cm = 210 mm (205 mm for dcr 150).
I work with a manfrotto 454 but uncommon system :).
Objectives : BW APO PLAN 5x, Mitutoyo APO PLAN 7.5x, 10x, 20x and 50x, Seiwa APO PLAN 20x, BW APO PLAN 20x, Seiwa APO PLAN 10x, Nikon CF PLAN 50x, componon APO 40 mm, Componon 50 mm, Componon S 80 mm, Componon 105 mm, Componon 150 mm, Rodagon 135 mm.....

Thank you very much for answering all of my naive questions together with your patience.

I have some parts to acquire and then I will have some fun to experiment with your system.

Kind Regards

John
