Arturo,
I don't agree because of the pods of Barium sulphate at each end of the organism. The Brownian motion was clearly visible.

I do the stacks of the images first under the assumption that it will easier and more accurate for Microsoft ICE to find the correct matches when it does the stitches.

Hi, Michael, I think Arturo may be right. The shape is right, and the vacuoles on the end are clearly visible in the Pleurotaneum images on the Protist Image Server website.

I lokked at the wider samples of Pleurotaeneum at https://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=p ... d=0CBYQsAQ
and none displayed the bodies at the end similar to my Docidium specimen. In a ddition, I could clearly observe the Brownian Motion of the Barium sulfate crystals characteristic of Closterium type algae.
