Finally dusted off the microscopes after a very long hiatus...

There were many of these plant lice on the catkins

Thanks all very much for the kind remarks! Feels good to finally post a few new images.

Fred (canonian)... but why the absense ?
Nothing to do with microscopy... a couple of things took unexpected, and very difficult turns for me last fall, and I've been trying to deal with them for about 6 months now. Hopefully I'll be able to spend some more time looking through the scopes and visiting here.
