Here are my first test of my fluorescence illumination system.
All with UV-2B cube and polarized light (composite), stacked, Plan Apo 20x/0.75, Canon T3i mounted on the front port of the TE300.

The detail is superb and especially so in the second photo. Wonderful work Rogelio - and to read that you are just starting with Fluorescence makes me wonder just how much more is to come! Congratulations.

Hi Rogelio,

Superb results. I hope you enjoy epifluorescence as much as I do. Next we'll get you and Waldo using fluorescent staining as well....
What were the individual exposure times?

shameless but non commercial sales promotion
Anybody needing a fluorescent light source should send me a private message. I have HBO arc lamp outfits available and also the Lumen Dynamics X-Cite metal halide which Rogelio is using. end promotion
Beautiful job , as always, Rogelio!

Thank you very much for your kind words.

David, I will enjoy it. Are the fluorescent staining safe?
The fluorescence were 3.2 seconds with the X-Cite's diaphragm set to 12% (to avoid photo-bleach, I have to try with greater aperture), the polarized with flash 1/200.

Gene, thank you for the deal of the X-Cite illuminator.

Hey Rogelio,

These are really great. Seems like you managed very well to prevent the fluorescence from the chloroplast leaking - these are sharp.

Thank you again for your comments.

Anybody interested in knowing how to overlay fluorescence and brightfield (also can be polarized, DIC, phase contrast, etc) check the following tutorial:
