Please ID this algae

Lost Lagoon in Vancouver is filled with this green algae. It colours the water a lime green.

These are the blue-green algae:
Anabaena and Woronichinia or Microcystis

What kind of technique is used with the red coloured photos?

Epi-fluorescence. What you see as red is chlorophyll.

Ah interesting.So you can distinguish between photosynthesizing and non-photosynthesizing parts of a plant

Indeed. I'll post an interesting image of the stomata of a fern where some parts of it are black under fluorescence, indicating some internal structure that does not contain chlorophyll.
