Gotta love the eyes in the first shot Craig. Awesome head on shot.

The second shot, are you sure its a hopper and not a katydid of some kind. You have different types up your way, but somehow that just reminds me of a Katydid. More than likely wrong knowing me. Anyway, nice shot sir :D

That is a great head on shot there Craig in the first image. The DOF is quite good IMO and so it the comp. I find grasshoppers to be quite amusing when photographed that away. The second image does look similar to a Katydid, as Danny pointed out, but then in the Amazon you probably really don't know what to expect. Great shots Craig :D

Thanks guys. :oops: Oops, now that you mention it, I definitely was not sure that this is a grasshopper. He does appear katydid-like. They come in so many shapes & sizes.

I like the head-on photo also Craig...very unusual looking dude. Usually they like turing the other way when you are looking at them :lol:
