razor sharp grass

Post by Litonotus »

I always wondered why it can cut fingers so deep and so painful... I experienced it many times when I was a kid. Now I know the answer...

edges look like a saw, there are also similar spikes allover the leaf surface.

a 'so-so' quality stack:

way too thick specimen for a plan apo objective, but I did a try:

Looks just like a rip saw. Very cool. Any idea what type of grass it is?

it is a very common grass, but I'm not a plant expert so I can't ID it.
