Pär, PM was sent.

Also I just want to add that I'm looking for ICT analyzer to specifically match Leitz ICT 553378 condenser.

Thanks!

Albertr,
An analyzer is just a good quality polarizer that mounts over the sample (here over the objective) in a cross pol system. You just need one that fits in you microscope slot at the right orientation, likely N-S as in most microscopes

Pau, thanks! Do you have any advise on where can I obtain a good quality polarizer that can be used for this purpose? I think I saw somewhere that Graham is using the same Leitz ICT 553378 condenser with his own made analyzer, so I guess it should be doable...

Thanks,

Edmund optics sells the very good Techspec glass linear polarizers, not cheap but reasonable. I use one of these as analyzer in my DIC setup and it works very well. Yo can also salvage an analyzer from another microscope brand if you don't find the original Leitz one.

Yes, I bought a 25mm one to fit over my Olumpus DIC prism.

Great, thanks! I was about to order one of these, but in the last minute came across an original Leitz ICT analyzer.

It looks nice!

Please let us know if it is bundled with two polarizers at 45º as the arrows and double slot seems to suggest.

Yes, this slide seems to have too polarizers. According to Leitz documentation it seems that "S-N" orientation is used for DIC/ICT and polarized light observation, while "SW-NE" orientation is used for brightfield and phase contrast. Although, I might be completely wrong.
