A freshwater Thuricola with a wide-bottomed lorica would normally be placed in T. folliculata. However, that is normally a zoochlorella-bearing species. This might be a colorless individual.arturoag75 wrote:it's a freshwater one

Alternatilvely, it could be T. valvata. That species is normally described as marine, but W. Saville Kent specifically says it is found in freshwater as well.
Unfortunately, I am missing descriptions of certain species in the genus, and don't have access to Trueba's revision of Thuricola (published in the defunct journal Beaufortia).
