Wanted: Diatom slide

Post by NikonUser »

Willing to buy a high quality diatom(s) (the one with dots and lines) slide to test vibration within my system and especially to test the quality of my 100x oil immersion objectives (NA 1.4).

Sir, now I can make diatom slides, I have fossil diatom and diatom from Walmart shellfish stomach. Yes, I can give you about 10 slides for free however, the international shipping is so expensive...

I have written to that guy at least twice with an offer to buy test slides. Never received a reply.

Thank you for your message. Not especially encouraging as I appear not to be able to contact him.

Hi Frederic,
I have tried one more time to order a slide, using the e-mail address that you used. If I receive no reply I will gladly accept your kind assistance.

Klaus Kemp is sometimes slow to respond...he does travel quite a bit. I have bought slides from him and he occasionally has some on ebay for sale during the weekends and goes under the name of Spandauballet. Here is one of his auctions although these slides were not made by him: 251183946729. But he does sell his slides. Another ebayer that sells Klaus's slides is Tamagno and he currently has Kemp's 50 diatom slide for sale: 230882292840. Mr Kemp makes some good slides.

Enjoy,
Eddie

I bought one about 3 weeks ago. Klaus responded to my email within minutes and I put in the order right away. Had the slide in less than a week here in Canada.
