You might know the book "Das Leben im Wassertopfen" by Heinz Streble,
he gave Names to all the small critters,
this one he named "Juwelentierchen",
that sipmply matches...

Thank you all, I had another set of painted eggs but they were all too big in filesize. They are in my image archive in my studio so I can't post them in time. pff, what a nuisance. I am so disorganised.

Yes, Gerd, actually I bought Das Leben im wassertropfen before I bought my first microscope. It has been my guide into the microworld. It is a pity I have never joined the meetings in Germany as some of my dutch microscopist friends often did.
