Microscope Adapter for Olympus D-SLR: any good?

Has anyone used of of these adaptors on an Olympus e620 body? If so, any comments on the results?

I don't have experience with this adapter, so I can't comment about its quality, but there may be some issues:

- 2X magnification with a 4/3 sensor will crop the image too much (1X to 1.25X would be much more adequate to fit the visual FOV).

- As generic adapter, it doesn't correct chromatic aberrations, so it would only work OK with microscope objectives that doesn't need complementary corrections at the eyepiece. What microscope and objectives do you use?

I have a 1X that I purchased for my PEN cameras for use primarily on monocular scopes. I didn't pay nearly as much as the two items above (I think it was about $30 USD). I would say the one I have is adequate, but I have only used it my Swift Collegiate which is not one of my best scopes and a higher grade Tasco student scope.

I have this adapter but with a Canon mount.

Pretty much everything Pau suggests is true, although with my current microscope, its quality is equivalent to my current objectives.

I haven't seen any 1x available but I will look around. I would be using it with either an older Unitron compound scope (probably from the 60s or 70s) or a Leitz Ortholux from the 60s.

I don't know about Unitron but most microscopes of this time including for sure the Leitz do need complemetary aberration corrections at the eyepiece, so the best approach will be "afocal"
