Not a macro lens but, so far as I understand, effectively an apochromat.
I have the lens, which cost me a lot of money several years ago.
I have posted some images with or without a Marumi supplementary in front of it:

This is a rare opportunity to buy this excelllent lens. It seems to be a Nikon A1 mount. (Mine is an Adaptall-2).
I know I will never part with mine, all the more so since I have the x2 crop factor.

Quite an interesting lens. I'm sure you're very pleased to have one in your collection.
As best I can tell, it's mostly Zeiss who now target multi-platform, unusually high-quality, manual focus lenses these days.
I keep toying with the idea of acquiring a basic collection of their Canon-mount lenses but the lack of autofocus and to some extent image stabilization are show-stoppers since my general purpose photography too often involves moving objects. A recent case in point involves chasing my very young grandchildren around a playground and then around the beach. It was almost impossible even with these aids!

That's right. I have an awareness of them, in case my financial circumstances improve dramatically.DQE wrote:As best I can tell, it's mostly Zeiss who now target multi-platform, unusually high-quality, manual focus lenses these days.

For some reason, I thought it was not included on the Adaptall-2 site. It is:
