Various magnifications though I have been testing the 60x 1.35 oil objective too. Hard to get enough light even with 100W with DIC at 60x and 2x magnification changer.
All photos DIC. These photos are not overly processed for contrast as that distracted from the aesthetic appeal, at least for my taste.
Oh - none of these photos are cropped.

Again...
And again - sorry but they amuse me. I think one can see some muscles too.

Waldo, congrats with your new scope. Amazing images. I'm impressed with the resolution of the last image. Has the BX53 built in Flash ? If not, what kind of shutter times can you reach ? Do you shoot with high ISO ? I see some noise but it's very well controlled.

Thanks. Those UPlanSApo's are really something. No, the BX53 does not have flash and when I asked Olympus they had nothing to recommend - seems to me flash would be something custom.LSRasmussen wrote:Waldo, congrats with your new scope. That last image was 1/40s, ISO400. Sometimes I push up to ISO800 as some of the other photos were taken at. I use a variety of processing techniques to maintain the detail yet reduce noise.
outstanding sharpness and detail...
