Some corrections of the second image in PS, posted with the permission of Jacek.
1. Just "authomatic color". this option usually overcorrects the image, but in this case I think it works well removing the green dominant.
2. Over the former image, I used a gradient tool to lighten the right part of the image and just a bit of unsharp mask.
