Here a set of images of what I think is Heliozoa (maybe Actinosphaerium).

Body (without the arms) diameter around 323 microns.

It was very nice to watch the extrusomes (I think that is how they are called) moving along the arms (axopodia).

In the end of the last year I managed to take photograph the same, I think, species but in phase contrast. I'll try to find this photograph and send to forum.

Wow!, excellent images again and again. It is a large heliozoan compared with the few ones i have seen.

Very nice detail Rogelio. I have been finding a large number of these in my samples, especially after feeding them dried yeast. I have just recently realized that the spines are quite flexible and not stiff like real needles.
